Influencers on the internet
I enjoy reading articles, books, watching videos, and taking classes to learn new things. However, I am sometimes attracted to shiny items spread by internet gurus.
They flaunt their wealth and make fake promises about making money quickly using tactics and shortcuts. They show strategies based on analytics and try to trick algorithms, as well as misinformation and blind beliefs.
Their success comes from the high commission they receive, even for products that should not be promoted. That’s not who I’m intended to be. I don’t support, believe in, or encourage such work.
It’s not worth it.
What is the point of it all? Making a blog that does not reflect my values becomes a clog for search engines. Even if I become successful and make a large sum of money, I will be miserable.
Their strategy relies on FLUFF STUFF that is being read and ranked by computers, not by humans. Get to the top and generate revenue. It is possible to answer most questions in under a minute with just 100 words. Still, they’ll write a long article based on a number provided by an average data analytical tool.
This is a waste of people’s time and attention. I’m not sure why I have to do that. Why do I have to compete and put in hours to generate another piece of content when there already have one that is performing well?
Just for the sake of ranking first and making money? That isn’t something worth doing.
Both I and everyone else matter
According to a study, 95% of bloggers fail or don’t make enough money.
There are various problems in this world. Wouldn’t it be better if we used that time to meet a significant need in the world?
Imagine if each individual or team put their valuable effort into solving one wicked problem? How much better would the world be? There will be no need to persuade or push marketing.
This way, everyone may succeed, and everyone will profit.
Final Thoughts
I intend to do the best I can with my strengths, abilities, and motivations.
With this blog, I’m looking into underserved topics that are often overlooked because of their low revenue potential. I’m doing my best to study and discover reliable resources to curate and explain my point of view briefly.
Keeping a blog to share and communicate with interesting people will no doubt lead to many exciting experiences. Additionally, I get to gather, organize, and synthesize the information to take better action.
I hope to discover my purpose through doing meaningful work that gives me satisfaction in the present, rather than working endlessly after fortune.
